Employee Testimonials

Kerra Thompson

“Hi, my name is Kerra Thompson and I am the Referral Specialist for Thera-Play Pediatrics. I truly love coming to work every day. I not only have learned so much but I get to see these kids grow daily in their disciplines. They work hard but our therapists make sure they have fun too while striving to meet each of their goals. This company is not only caring for what they do for their patients but they care for each other as well. Covid was hard but we as a team recovered and have developed significantly as a company. I look forward to the many years to come. "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life." Confucius”

Marisa Spagnolo M.S., CCC-SLP

"I love working for Thera-Play and supporting the wonderful families and children within our community! The interdisciplinary team approach used by all the therapists helps us support each other and give the children we work with the best treatment possible. Thera-Play fosters a natural, play-based environment which allows us the opportunity to utilize a child led approach to target goals in a fun and engaging way. This model helps the children we serve achieve their milestones through functional interactions that translate to life outside of the clinic. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing therapists, clients, and families every day!"

Brittanie Miller

“I love the interdisciplinary approach we take for each client. Everyone is always open to collaborate and work together to target each client's specific needs.”

Taylor Elmore

“What made Thera-play stand out from other clinics I have worked in was the teamwork and effort that is practiced daily. I love the collaboration that each discipline has with a patient that they share, as well as the communication of what each therapist is seeing in their session with that child. Additionally, I love the fact that OT, ST, and PT are in the same building. Working alongside other disciplines of therapy gives you a different perspective of a patient outside of what you practice. It gives you a better, global view of how a patient functions in all different aspects. I also love how there are no "dumb questions" and each therapist is more than willing to help others.”

Ben Haas

“I interned at thera-play as a student, I discovered a group of passionate people who were driven to the job for all the right reasons. I love working beside people that make what we do feel like "a cause" instead of just a paycheck. A good day at the clinic is a blast to be a part of. We all care about our patients, and demonstrate it through a wide range of styles utilized. From devoted parents bringing those skills to our setting, to learned academics, to silly aunts and uncles like myself getting to put the "play" in thera-play while reaching our goals. I love the emotional connections that form the foundation of our sessions, as well as the cognitive clinical challenges we get to disguise as just a good time.”

Gillian Milton

“When I began working at Thera-Play I was a new grad fresh out of school and wanted to be somewhere that I could learn to be the best therapist I could be. Thera-Play did so much more than I could have ever expected. They became my family and are always more than happy to help me grow not only as a therapist but as a person too. I was always told that if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life and that couldn't be more true with this awesome company. The passion these therapists have for their patients as well as colleagues is infectious. Thera-Play is so much more than a job, it's home.”
